Code

Ok so my SES light came on.

Went to autozone to have it read, "Catalyst efficiency low-bank 2." Guy at autozone said I might need to change the catalytic converter. What do you guys think? anyone know where I can get one cheap?

Another problem....
"ECM power supply circuit- Back up RAM malfuntion" ??????

some cat codes call for you to reprogram the ecm. its a situation based fix. it might not be much help or maybe common knowledge around here ive only been a member for a month.
possiable causes
three way cat
exhaust tube
intake air leaks
fuel injectors
fuel injector leak
spark plugs
improper ignition timing
if i werent so dumb i would post a picture i clicked the insert picture but i didnt show...i also didnt search to find out how
this is all for p0420 code soory if it doesnt help.

Hmmm...well the code that I got was P0430. Don't know if it's a big difference. I haven't done any mods either.

Ok found the paper with possible causes
1. catalytic converter defective (failure possibly doe to #2, 3, or 4)
2. Engine misfire or running condition
3 large vacuum leak
4. engine oil leakage into exhaust valve guide seals, piston rings.
