The best part is cut off. There should be a "velocity stack" and a 3" connection where that gaping hole is now.

After sifting through this thread for the past 5 or so days I decided to register to the forum along with the 350z one. I thought I was done with the modding phase with my e46 several years back but apparently not, currently looking for the ztube to do that with the k&n first. Then I would like to tackle the ddin, and wanted to know if I could just get the Metra kit and plug and play http://www.ebay.com/itm/Metra-99-760...ea0099&vxp=mtr like that one i guess. Would that be the most cost efficient route other than hacking it myself?

Cost efficient = yes
Quality = no

Metra kits have been known to be subpar in terms of quality. Get the JDM

yeaaa.. trying to figure out if there's anything else outside of the car I want to use that $350 for. Also, the little trim piece that goes above the whole unit, do they sell that seperate anywhere?

Hey Guys,

I got a friend of a friend who's selling his Tein Monoflex coilovers off of his G35 coupe. He's selling it for $1200 CAD with the EFDC controller included. Not sure how long he had them on for but they look like they're in pretty good condition.
It's basically this versus getting brand new BC coilovers (Also around $1200ish after duties), so it's a hard call between some JDM YO coilovers vs something brand new.

What would you do if you were in my position?

Your suspension has been sitting in the same position for 12 years, and lowering it will change the geometry of all those parts. Ball joints, bushings, toe bolts and camber kits should be a part of your plan if you decide to go for it.

Nice G BTW. I like the early sedans with the spoilers. I would take off those door bumpers tho. Haha
door bumpers? the factory horizontal rub strips? i heard there were holes in the door so you shouldn't just take them off a sedan.
