Thank you, I thought i recalled 100k which is why I've yet to touch mine since I put it in, but between you saying 50k and that I now live in an area with bad pollen a few weeks a year I think all signs point towards getting it taken care of this weekend. I am likely at about 50k now.

Do you just use the K&N brand recharge kit or is there something else that is recommended? I will glance around my local auto parts store, but likely get the K&N one, if I recall it is only like $13 or so.

Do your motor a favor and check your air filter every once in a while. You can easily see if it needs to be cleaned or replaced. You don't change your brake pads or other wear parts based solely on mileage only, why should your intake filter be any different?

I've looked through the little slot in the air box thing to see that it isn't just plain brown/black, but never removed all the intake tubes and such to pull the filter out completely and really inspect. I'll be finding out how it looks tomorrow most likely.

Who said we didn't inspect the filters regularly? I check mine every time I change the oil.

Easy there big fella.

OEM used 350z springs vs New Tein H tech springs

Hey guys,
Im looking to replace my springs with something for a mild drop. Im deciding between a used set of 350z springs or a new set of tein h techs. I have the '03 sport suspension btw. Any advice on if the used springs wouldn't be worth it due to their age so i should just go new h techs instead??
Thanks!!

I went with a used set of 350Z springs and struts. 1" drop and an OEM ride that doesn't beat you up.

Just came from the muffler shop. I need a cat back replacement. What are my options for the AWD sedan? Something very budget friendly.

Have the shop build one. If you use a Magnaflow or Dynomax resonator and a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler it will have better sound without being obnoxious. Won't get mandrel bending on a budget though.

Blue Dream from the forum tells me the Motordyne VQ is the way to go: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...lation-81.html

They are hard to find though, I haven't seen one for sale yet!

^True that, I believe Tony at Motordyne only made 23 VQ's for the sedan. It will be extremely hard to find as everyone I know that has one isn't interested in letting it go. However, I don't know if it would fit the X model.

Sorry but I agree to disagree. Can't put 4 people AND their golf clubs into a coupe. Plus the sedan is lighter because racecar lol.
