Im in the market too and they are all in the same prize bracket like Wannabe6MT said. Some 03's are actually prized higher than some 05's im seeing but thats proly bcus im looking at NY and NJ prizing and NJ is cheaper.

I would go for the 04 and up models as well bcus then you wont get the not so attractive front bumper, rear tails and unpainted body parts. Also to the 04 and up ones just look more elegant. Good luck with the purchase.

Just to clarify, 05 is when they changed to everything painted and new. 03-04 are virtually identical minus the shifter on the inside.

Missed the FedEx guy today so I got to pick it up tomorrow. As soon as I put it on I'll take a vid... have a nice Sony stereo mic so I'll do both before/after and interior/exterior clips

Thanks for the info folks. Maybe I will look at the 05-06's. I do notice the small things and I have noticed that some do have the painted "lip kit" and some do not. Of course the painted looks better. Laughing at the mod bug. Ive had that thing for years. I just sold my pullied 03 cobra so I'm HOPING not to get too much invested into performance. Just looks and maybe some handling. I know these cars sound good so I may do the I/E as well if I buy one.

You'd think that, but the aftermarket is big for these cars and it gets you eventually....esp if you hang out here

If i wasn't pouring money into modding my 5.0 Mustang, i'd be buying brake kits, lowering springs, exhaust, 19" coupe rims, etc for my G35

got an '05 in August '08 with 50k miles; so far so good. my lone disappointment is that when I took it in for the 60k mile service, they found some other things that needed to be done like a new belt, tranny flush, etc. would have been nice if they took care of that BEFORE I bought the car (and they claimed it was certified).

Too bad you cant put a little money into the G as well. Your G has tons of potential to be a subtle yet classy daily driver...

i have an 04, only thing i did was replaced the wheel bearings and front brakes. Other than that your good to go.

Yes i agree. For a sedan we do have some aftermarket respect, it suprises me sometimes. We have superchargers, turbos, motordyne is making a new exhaust for the sedan etc. For the most part is because our engines are the same as the coupe and similar to the Z.

Front brakes at 34K, tires at 42K (all season), driver's seat rails. Battery. As you can see, mostly just routine wear items and maintanence, except for the seat that would have cost $600 if I hadn't had a warranty.

I agree about getting an 05-06. But if you get an 03-04 with Nismo (see my pics below), you don't have to worry about the grey/black trim at bottom. I'd still recommend the 05-06 because of interior upgrades over 03-04.

I've had the car for about six year, and no probs at all (knocking on wood).

Good luck.
