Random Little Question Thread
Question, how can you tell the TPMS are out of wheels? I think mine were switched when I didn't know about it, but the TPMS light only came on with my 19s when i was on the freeway but now it stays on permanetly with my 17s on and all the tires are up to air spec. How hard is it to install them back onto the 17s and where can i find them/what do they look like?
Ok, I haz another RLQ...
What's the advantage of a metal type high flow cat over a ceramic type (or vice versa)
And which type of construction do some of the "more trusted" brands of test pipe use?

I don't know if my tpms were switched from the 17s onto the 19s. Is there any way i can check?
TPS stem is metal - sensor is attached to other side of valve stem (inside tire)... swapping/installing is easy once the tire is dismounted, the valve stem unscrews in 2 halves you simply screw it in the new rims... will need to have dealer calibrate them (if they are not original to the car).
Yea the Valve is Metal on the TPMS. The shop should of said something to you? lol I bet they charged a TPMS service and they did not even swap them.

And this is how a TPMS thing looks like, (Generic Google search image)

I dont even remember where it would have happened. Dealer charged me $30 to swap them the first time (mistake on my part) and the second time, a buddy of mine put the new tires on and swapped the wheels on for me for free.
These are the only times I havn't personally swapped them. I'll check the tires when i get home.

Well, Janik's problem solved (sorta)
so...
so...
People tend to think metal lasts longer than ceramic - in reality all HFC will go bad at some point...
