Random Little Question Thread
suspension
I have seen plenty of stuff on suspension and lowering but I find it lacking. I see spring rates for springs listed as progressive that should have an increasing rate. I see nothing on free length. This is important to calculate the drop.
What about the affect of wheel weight? What effect are you getting from the spring rate of the tire and damping ratio of the strut or shock.
What about lightweight wheel/tire effect on handling? It changes the resonant frequency along with spring weight, spring rate, and damping ratio? Lighter wheels/tires also reduce the energy required to accelerate and brake the wheel itself.

Quick question: The z tube that i bought does not have a bracket attached to it. I just finish installing my z tube and realized that there is no bracket holding the tube in place, is that ok? I have an 05 sedan.
Thanks
Thanks
^You've done something wrong, I'm just not sure what
A couple members were really particular about wheel and tire weight. Don't remember how many have sold their cars though, I know some have.
OCG35 still has his, and he's a stickler for wheel weight.

^I got my Privat Gassens for under $500, but they were on closeout.
There's another XXR that's priced like that, can't remember the name of it.
You could pick up a few different OEM wheels for that (such as 19" Rays)

That would depend.
What wheels are they? Are they in good condition? How good of a deal?
axis penta 19's with 245/35 all around just missing one tire...can pick them up for 1000...good condition
