There is a red switch to the right of the hood latch and im not sure what it does, anyone care to help? I checked my owner's manual and doesnt say anything about it. Theres only an arrow showing the hood latch.

haha none of that, i figured it was something standard in all cars. ok ill snap a pic real quick.

i don't know of any red switch that should be there under the hood. maybe you got a secret james bond car. hit the switch and see what happens.

Is it a light or a switch? Do you have an alarm? It could be the carjack feature that disables the car, the indicator and/or switch for the alarm, or it could just be a fake indicator to make your car look like it has an alarm.

^when i lock the car the red light does flash but i when i try getting into the car it doesnt go off or anything so im assuming not? Im not the original owners so i have no clue. I thought this was standard on all 03 G sedan

my guess is it cuts the power to either the VDC module, or the ecu learning memory. But knowing us G guys, it could be for anything...


RANDOM QUESTION FOR THE THREAD:
Did very many first gen owners upgrade to paddle shifters? I saw nothing about it on here, so I figure I can help those who want them themselves!

i was playing with the switch when the car was idling and nothing came on the dash, im starting to think it has no purpose haha

damn by hood latch i thought you meant the locking mechanism on the hood itself.
