Point was everything has a different warranty, but you're right, it's expired. I remember chassis and electronics used to run much longer than powertrain warranties.Originally Posted by MPG35fiend

I just purchased a 2003 G35 sedan with premium package, everything is stock, fully mint, low k and so on. I love the car and I want to have fun with it. Since the VQ35DE engine produces 260hp, I want to increase the horsepower, plus handling. I want to know what intakes and exhaust are good to boost horsepower, also the Bose system is alright but not getting much base, what would you also recommend besides sub-woofers. I might put subwoofers in thr back.

If you want something inexpensive just go to an exhaust shop and have them fab up something for you. An axleback style shouldn't be too expensive.

first of all you have to know what your going for.... SPEED or STANCE... i got stuck in the middle so i did a little bit of both..... from my personal experience STiLLEN is the best for exhaust and intake. I love mine and wouldnt have picked a different set up.. STiLLEN is the only one that makes the "TRUE DUAL" exhaust system to one catback... best fitment... everything is as it should just like OEM. same thing with the intake... best intake made ever... has OEM style air box filled with a HUGE K&N cone filter... as for handling im not too experienced on... i have BC coils but never tracked them... they are pretty stiff and durable.... when damper is full soft feels almost as soft as stock.... i would do sway bars and strut bar too.... oh and a plenum is the first mod you should do! cheapest and most gains on that mod for our sedans preferably motordyne.Originally Posted by L'holozon

i did Stillen HFC, Full Exhaust system, Intake, plemum spacer, iridium spark plugs, osiris tune. pushing 227AWHP, 218TQ after tune.
numbers will be dramatically different with RWD/Manual. good luck with your mods,,, cost a lot of $$$$$$$$$$. hope this helps.

oh and sound system.... just look at my garage i forgot model of parts i have... but if i was going for speed i would just replace the 8" subwoofer in the back and get a mono block amp for it! it will bump hard! the ported box with the sub is too heavy and takes up a good amount of space..

Get yourself some good tires, sway bars and struts for better handling. If you want improved handling with looks, go for a decent set of coilovers, do your research here to find out which are the better options.
For power, find a way to tune your ECU. Getting tuned will be one of the most noticeable differences you will ever get without building the motor or boost. Osiris may not be an option for your 03, but you can always check your ECU to find out if it's compatible or not. If your ECU is not compatible with Osiris, then go with some other option like Greddy or Technosquare, etc... and always get a retune for every mod you add.
If you want to add bass without adding too much weight or taking up too much space, look into the 4080 box.

Been thinking about getting some for my 2005 Infiniti G35 sedan.
However, I dont think they're legal with emission. and I listened to a few cars that had them and I dont think I like the raspyness. (Those are the negatives)
However, I do want the powergain and there were some that had just a deep sound to them which would be great with my current Borla exhaust.
Let me know what you think, if you have one with a sound clip please post also.

I have an 03 sedan, which you may know has the silver painted plastic interior door handles (im not talking about the trim that you use to pull the door shut that could have been wood, im talking about what you use to open the door from the inside, where the lock is). I've seen in pictures that the 06 has a chrome looking door handle. Can anyone confirm that this is actual METAL and not just shiny plastic?...I HATE the plastic-feel of mine and I think the swap would be a cheap easy upgrade. Bonus points if you know where to get some.
