I'm gonna blasphemise and say how much i hate Tommy Kaira. Ridiculously overpriced ricey crap. He used to do good things but that was a long time ago, since he got big he is doing nothing but tasteless stuff.

Thanks TunerMax. I realize it's not optimal for performance but I don't want to go any lower then 19's, just hoping to find the most reasonably 19" setup for me.

As for performance goes I would fall into the straight line/spirited street driving category. With that sort of driving style what would be a good staggered set up to run? Measurements would be appreciated.

And do you feel it would be fairly disadvantageous to run 9.5" in both the front and back but with wider tires in the rear like on the first G35 models?

I'm assuming it's not because I think pretty much 85% of everyone on here has theirs lowered.... and I was gonna do it myself, but a guy at my work was like

"Infiniti spent thousands of hours perfecting it, not for you to go in there and F*Ck up the suspension"

so it made me think a little.

Anyways, saw this last night, unique.

When you lower your car you're throwing off all of the other components in the suspension which may cause other parts to wear out quicker such as your tires, axles, and bushings. A lot of people out there put aftermarket suspension on their performance cars that already come equipped with performance or racing suspension. But clearly our factory suspension differs from that of, say, Lotus since our cars aren't built for racing/track use. Anyway, if you lower your car you'll likely throw off your alignment which will cause your tires to wear unevenly and prematurely. Of course all of that can be corrected with the use of camber kits.

Anyway, use the search function on here. That's what many others will likely tell you. It helps a lot, and many of the questions you have may have already been answered.

I have an 06 base coupe, with the base rims.

They'll fit but with an offset of +45 they will be very sunk in. You'd be better off looking for the 18" version (looks identical) that was made for the coupe.

I was researching replacement options for my stock compression rod bushings when I stumbled across Battle Version adjestable caster arms. Are the the same thing because they look almost identical?

Last week i ended up barely hitting the hitch on an SUV and it cracked my front grill assembly and also slightly dented the tip of my hood (06 G35X). I havent been able to get an estimate yet for the fix, but I was looking into other options on the side.

First off i figure I can replace the grill assembly myself and after a lot of searching I was finally able to track down the right part number for the grill (62070-A700). I am curious if only the 05-06 grill will fit or if the previous model will fit as well, im unsure what all is different for the front ends. If I try going to a U-Pull-It for a used part rather than order new, what are some easy tricks to finding out the year of the G's they might have besides the tailight design, (VIN or other fool proof places to check)?

Secondly, if I end up finding the cost of the hood to be near the same price as a new one (if paint is involved) has there been many experiences with aftermarket hoods and how perfectly they fit? Im not sure what to look for in an aftermarket hood as far as material goes, but it would open the option for a carbon fiber one as well. What is the realistic price for a quality CF hood because i've seen some for as little as $500 and that just seems extremely low and wouldnt want one that is flimsy or peels after a year. Same thing goes for the hood, I assume the 05-06 sedan is a unique shape and only those years will fit.

Any comments on your experience with aftermarket grills (billet or other) and hoods in general will also be appreciated.

For the grill you will need an 05-06 either factory or ionic emblemless, you could do billet but its a played out trend that most on here discourage, but its your car do what you want. as far as aftermarket hoods go, i dont think anyone has made anything except a custom one off hood, i dont remember what member has it but i think hes the only 05-06 with a custom hood.

Yea im not a fan of the billet, but being about 1/3 the price of the OEM it makes me think a second time on it. I do like that Ionic so thanks for the recommendation, just need to decide if I like the price. The other one that i really like is the mesh one with a fiberglass or something frame, but I think its only made for the coupes?
