Random Little Question Thread

Impressive. I don't know enough about the components to help you in this though, sorry! Either way, impressed with what you're up to man!!! Hope to see some good results!
As for your Operating voltage Q: Peak Voltage should not exceed 14.6 on a properly functioning Regulator/Alternator. The range is normally 13.3-14.3V while running, and IIRC static/steady voltage should be maintained at 13.6 Approximately.
If you do calculations based on 13.6 VDC that will be the most accurate.
I toyed with a few concepts on this but ended up writing it off because I couldn't get LED's that were spaced close enough to make it look the way I wanted. I tried EL wire also but it wouldnt bend sharp enough to make a defined 'arrow' look the way I wanted.
Dont have any pics uploaded of my tests, but here's My idea drawn in orange:

That looks like a cool design. It might be neat to do that with white LEDs and then have the rest of them be amber for a turn signal.

Hya Thank you for all your replys.
I tried by Turning Off the AC.. I Still get "GRR" sound when excelerate harder.
I change my oil every 3000 to 3500 miles. I use Premimum Gas only.
I bought this car at 48k, I know how Previous owner did the service.
I got the 60K service done at Stealership.
Replaced Powersteering Fluid my self.
For 90k Service I am thinking of Performing below
Break Fluid Flush,
Transmission Fluid Change
Coolent Flush
Change Differencial Oil.
if possible Replace Compressor Rod/Bushing.
What is your Openion On it.

2003 G35 Sedan Resonator Delete?
Hey guys, on my 2003 G35 sedan i have the magnaflow axel-back exhaust and it's very nice, but it could be a little louder and have more throat. I watched a few videos of sedans with a resonator delete and they sound bad-***. I was wondering if deleting the resonator on the car will do anything power wise? Increases.. decreases.. or what not. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
P.S. How much does it cost to do this?

Tokico suspension package on g35x
Hey all,
I'm assuming this package will give me a 2" drop, without issues. Can you back this up? I'm not sure if this is a widely known package or not, as I just discovered it myself and for the price... can't beat it. I drive an '05, its already on Z springs but it's not enough!
so here's the package:

Do you think it's a good purchase?

Need a new bumper 04 g35x. Please help!!!
Hi all,
I need to replace the bumper on my 04 g35x ivory pearl sedan. Don't wanna go to a body shop and get ripped off. Don't mind buying some kind of aftermarket one but don't want to spend a lot of money. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Tire patch increases handling. If you take a look at higher end sports cars, you'll see larger diameter and wider wheels. I mean, ALL of the things you asked could be quickly found out by searching. But, since we're already knee deep, there's an actual thread called the 19" discussion thread and it shows 19" wheels. In the 'for sale' section, there's a section of wheels...within that wheels section, there's a 19inch section...with 19inch wheels that fit our cars. Get'r'dun

Take a car wheel and tire by itself, roll it then try to turn it without tilting it to the left or right. Compare doing the same to a much narrower bicycle wheel. The one with more traction wants to stay moving forward, while the other one will turn much more effortlessly.
The wider tire with more traction wants to hold the road more, in a sense increasing the weight of the wheel, so this would be similar to comparing handling of a 18" wheel to the handling of a 22" wheel (or 16" to 18" on a Honda Civic).
Technically, if you have enough power, the wider tires will become necessary to even hold the car straight under hard acceleration. I'd say you really want to be making a good 400+ to the wheels to really need tires as wide in the fronts as most of us have in the rears so that really will not be the case with most Gs out there. And even still, you have to consider the driver's driving style. If you won't be mashing the gas pedal through the turns, you might not want the tires to be too wide up front.
