Which oem 17's? You should be able to run a square setup on the OEM 17's. IIRC, the OEM 17's are 17x7+45 so that should allow you to run 225/50 or 225/55 on all four corners, the 55 series should be cheaper. If the wheels are staggered then you can do 17x7 with 225/55 and 17x7.5 with 235/55. Again it would be best to know which 17's to maximize traction, handling and tread life

I havent updated that page for a very long time, it really doesnt reflect how the car looks at all anymore.

how do i know which ones they are? they have the 7 spokes and i do not think they are staggered. they just seem very small especially they rear wheels. what do you think is the largest tires a could get? would 245/50/17 work or should i stick with the 235?

Hey, I have an automatic sedan with a little over 180k miles.
The problem is, sometimes when accelerating, there seems to be a drop when the car is switching into gear. Like a sudden silent thud, but i can feel it from time to time. Is this a problem with the transmission, or is this a problem that anyone is familiar with?
A second problem is when stopped abruptly, my car won't accelerate again until a few seconds later even when i push on the gas. Could this be my brakes. Another hint that the brakes are malfunctioning is that there are fluids that appears on the driver side front rims. Seems to be breaking fluid.
If anyone has these problems, lets get together and figure them out.

2inch drop not enough

i just recently lowered my 04sedan with some tein lowerin springs only a 2 inch drop, i have 19x8.5 infront and 19x10.5 in back and the gap between the fender and tire is still too much. besides the obvious (coilovers) what else can i do to have more of a drop ? without spending alot more money.... thanks.

It doesnt look like you got the self destruct option installed in your trunk.

In all honesty, I dont know. Kind of wondered about it myself but never bothered to ask.

yea I don't see any use for it, doesn't do anything. just gonna tuck it away in between the trunk and the cover.

Secondary trunk release, in case of power loss. It's should be velcroed to the trunk lining. Sounds like it's broken, close your trunk and reach in from the access panel between the rear seats to see if it works.

Isn't that the purpose of the white glow in the dark one

Maybe it's tough to reach through the access panel ? That's the description straight out of the manual. Does the glow in the dark one do anything if there's no power, that could be the difference.
