A really good set of shock and struts isnt much cheaper then coilovers, the real difference is from the install unless you do it yourself
If you lower your car you will need front and rear camber arms and toe bolts (I have SPC and they are great) and then you will need an alignment

When it comes down to it the price difference is a few hundred bucks if you get BC coilovers like I did, or stance which a lot of people run because they go really low

I was in the same boat as you and figured I would change to coilovers in the future so I didnt want to waste the money on shocks and struts

Checking your oil dipstick..

Hey guys, might be the wrong place to post this, but im having an incredibly difficult time getting an accurate reading on my oil. Ive tried reading it numerous times and it just seems to be all over the place. The majority of the oil collection is on the bottom of the dipstick were the metal twirls , the rest is all over the stick, its in such an awkward position, any advice on what I should do? Engines not making a clicking sound or anything like that (knock on wood) so Id rather be safe then sorry, and be able to tell accurately. 05 coupe 6mt

Okay, here's a new one....

So, my VDC button. I rarely use it. Never in the winter and only when in tiptronic in the summer.

When I press it with the car running, there's no light on my dash. I press, sometimes press and hold for a second.

Should there be a VDC light lit?

LOVE THOSE WHEELS!! yeah rolling the fenders will give you a more aggressive stance, i dont know what your offset is on the wheels but when you roll the fenders you could always put on wheel spacers to kick out the wheels a little more to fill up that space. colleague has that done and it looks **** couple more paychecks to the bank and ill be there too haha

I'm an Arizona G owner and new to this forum, I am having trouble locating other G owners in my Tucson area. I would love to find some meet ups and or shows in the Tucson/Phoenix area. where would be the best place to look so I can meet other like minded peeps. heard of a Z meet in Phx. but haven't seen any info.

A simple transmission question (auto)

I serviced my last week. (2003)
I put in 4 quarts, I checked it, it seemed too high, then I read it should have been 3.5 quarts.
I drained about 1/2 a quart out. I drove it to work. after I got home, I checked it while idling in park. It was low. I shut it off and got ready to add some ATF. I rechecked it while it was off. It was a bit high. My question is does the owners manual say to check hot and off, hot and at idle, or hot and in gear? It a simple question if you have a manual!

I need a manual

Thanks guys

I find it easier to read on the back. You might not be able to read it well because your oil level is low and the level is on the twirly part. When you add oil, it seems like it runs down the oil stick channel and the oil stick is annoying to me to read. Either let it sit there and drain down before reading it or look on the back and see if you can tell where the level is.

whenever i drive my g35 any little rock or bump that i hit my car would start shaking, and when I was driving home the other day it was raining hard and i had to drive 40 because my car would shake and jerk to the sides.

I still need to get my wheels realligned, but as for smoothness what can i do? "noob driver"
