What are you trying to take out? I don't recall any studs on the plenum. Are you referring to the bolts? If so, which one? The small ones on the sides or the larger ones on top of the plenum?Originally Posted by thegreatkwijibo

The instructions said something about using both nuts to get it off, but I'm not sure what they did to get it off. If anyone knows what I can do to get them out that would be much appreciated.

Put 2 nuts on the stud, tighten them together and use the bottom one to unscrew the stud. Or use a pair of vise grips to remove the stud since once you have a spacer installed you wont be taking it off.

vice grips didn't work. and how do I use the bottom one to unscrew the stud? I did what the instructions said putting one upside down and the other right side up on top of it but when I tried to undo it it just backed off both nuts and didn't budge the stud at allOriginally Posted by Peoria35sedan

Thanks Ill give that a try.
Im buying new seats soon, will keeping them lying on their side in my truck overnight cause any permanent damage or deformation? I think that is the only arrangement that will fit. Note that it is still cold where I live. (-10 - 0 degreed C usually)

lay them down on something soft. the cushioning might get deformed.
wow, thanks for the quick response! Are we talking blanket / duvet soft, or something more conformable?
I am guessing that the more surface area that is supporting it, the better off it will be. Really hoping I can figure out a way to rest it on its own rails.

just put a bunch of towels over each other to make it super thick. lay it thick where it touches the truckbed. the parts that don't touch don't need to be cushioned with towels, but maybe throw down one below those areas just in case.
