makes sense I guess. why put in the effort when its not needed and people in the states will still pay outrageous prices regardless.

The japanese like to keep the good **** for themselves It certainly would have been a good option to have in dense areas like NYC

Exactly. Think of the narrowest parking space you have ever seen. Take two feet off of it's width, and that's a parking spot in Japan.

My buddy's parking space in Japan leaves him with literally two to three inches to open the door. I'd dig out a picture he sent me of it, but I think you might be able to find something similar on Google. He never told me how he gets in and out of the car, my guess is he crawls out of the window, and that's probably why hatchbacks are so popular in Japan.

^Simple...
All Japanese drivers are expert at drifting and stunt driving... (please note, this statement is not prejudiced in any way, but scientifically supported buy Fast&Furious)

You simply aim the car at the empty parking place, accelerate, then in one sweeping motion:
open the door, cut the wheel, pull the keys, pull the parking brake, dive out, kick the door shut on your way out, tuck and roll

If you've executed this maneuver properly, the car will slide backwards cleanly into the parking space with zero clearance.

This needs to be preserved in the "best posts" thread

There's too many to list but since you seem to be going for performance I'll leave out exterior mods.

High flow cats/test pipes
Lightweight Driveshaft
NWP Throttlebody
Osiris tune
Camshafts

Most other notable performance mods are more costly/time consuming, if you want to drop the dough/time. Such as forced induction, bore/stroke, port/polish, etc
