I bought a 2004 Infiniti G35 Sedan 6MT, and I love it so far. That being said, there is a little **** just left of the steering wheel that has an adjustment of about a 1/4 turn to the left (I'm assuming that's what the "L" means) and a 1/4 turn to the right. (Again, assuming that's what the "R" stands for. Can someone tell me what this feature is, and what I'm doing as I am mindlessly adjusting it searching for it's purpose....? Thanks. Glad to be on the forums, and thanks for taking the time to reply.

If you read the original post (which i doubt you did) the poor guy kept rotating the dial from R/L, completely unaware that he could also manipulate it vertically and horizontally. To expand on the second members reply stating its a lever, I thought it would be helpful to inform him of the full manueverability of it.

Anyway, this reply is probably too long or too complex for you to either take the time to read it or fully comprehend it so, to sum things up:

F*** YOU!

I think one uses it to make adjustments to the left side mirror, and what's really cool is that it can also be used to adjust the right mirror as well!

WD-40 also has many uses like immediate lubrication, a vapor barrier, and it lights on fire if you want to use it as a firestarter in your house.

White lithium grease is about your best choice in a can. It's about 5$ too.

So just a few minutes ago I was at a gas station, tried to shift into park and the "N" started blinking on the dash. Tried it again and same thing, so I put it in neutral, shut the engine off and pumped gas.

This has happened only once before but I shifted off from park and shifted it back and it was fine.

So now I'm home and it's doing the exact same thing. I don't know what to do, my car is currently in the garage in neutral with the keys in the ignition. (I'm too scared to leave it in park)

Quick replies would be greatly appreciated!

So the G is running normal again but I still want to know if anyone has had this happen to them and how they fixed it. Just in case it happens to me again.

Thanks in advance for any input!
