Really I think they don't look to bad. Not to many options with the sport bumper. It's either this the ING or chargespeed. Unless you guys know of other options.

vertex makes the best lip for the sports. but its pricey. theres a guy here selling his used one but it aint cheap but looks fkn sexy as fk. also i saw a utr style one for the sports on ebay. that would be good too better than the data design

It's supposed to mount straight onto your MAF housing...unless you're missing that metal bracket that goes in the cone. See pic for reference:

I'd return, and just buy the whole kit. Or you can buy my Fujita air intake. It's a clean polished one piece with washable filter.

I can send you more pics.

I like my Takeda intake. It uses part of the stock airbox with a cone (washable) filter.

2005 6MT Sedan 126k

Had a leak in the top tank of my stock radiator so I ordered a Koyo V2588 and just finished the install about two hours ago. Had one small issue with a cracked tab on the fan shroud but I was able to repair it. Anyway, I added coolant to the system and idled the car with an eye on the temp gauge and then took it for a spirited drive. The needle on the temp gauge never went above half once which I found odd because its almost a guarantee that air is introduced . I checked and confirmed the heater is blowing hot so maybe there is no air in the system?

I had heard that the G is notoriously hard to purge of air so it had me thinking maybe the temp gauge is incorrect. I do currently have the non functioning fuel gauge issue so I ran the instrument cluster test and everything besides the fuel gauge appeared as it should have in the diagram.

Its scary to think the engine could be overheating and I wouldnt even know it. Any suggestions?

The temperature gauge on our cars (actually almost all modern Nissans) is basically useless.
It's extremely 'center weighted' by the computer.
It hits the middle at around 150 and stays in exactly the same position until well over 220

My sidemarker lights, parking lights, tail lights, and license plate lights won't turn on. This happened right after I replaced my parking lights with LEDs. (I may have had the light switch on when putting the LED in) Does it sound like a fuse problem? Do I check the fuse box behind the battery?

Have you checked the LEDs to make sure you have the polarity correct? Take them out, rotate 180 degrees, if they still don't come on, you may have blown a fuse during the installation or have bad LEDs

It's highly unlikely that all of your LEDs failed though

2006 G35X, SES light came on today and since I have an Uprev cable I pulled the code.

P0462 - Fuel level sensor circuit low input: http://infinitihelp.com/diy/obd_code...initi_g35.html

I will first monitor it and clear it myself if it doesn't go away after a day of driving, but just figured I'd see if anyone else had experience with this.

I have read our fuel gauges aren't accurate, Im not sure if this is the exact same general experience, or this is more related to the code, but my gauge will at times go to say 1/4 or 1/8th of a tank and then later slide up to like 1/2 a tank, and then possibly shoot down and turn on the gas light after a bit.

I just go by mileage and when at 300ish i fill up the tank, usually get 18.5 mpg so that puts in like 17 gallons, perhaps I let it run too low and should get in the habit of filling it up sooner? Not sure if that would help/change the situation at all.

If this does require the fix listed in the link (I am kind of surprised its under the rear seat) then is it something I would HAVE to do, or can I just ignore it and not rely on the gauge? I'd think this is a $200 fix or more and unless it can cause other issues, a faulty gauge isn't worth that to me, especially when it would likely just go to the normal not very accurate gauge lol.

Either way, if you have some input on the code, I'd appreciate it.
