Random Little Question Thread
So the lights work until u start driving in the rain?
What happens is they will both be working, then when it rains they will go out, i guess they are shorting, then within like a week or 2 of dry weather they will start working again, but this most recent time its rained they haven't come back on again. I dont wanna have to buy another set of ballast but i will if thats the problem.
Yes if you're missing protective covers and spray water into sensitive electronics they will usually short out and stop functioning. Sometimes they will completely fail, wheel well shrouds are cheap, ballasts and damaged electronics are not.
so i bought tein flex coils without knowing that there was a difference between true coils and ones that have spring and strut separate. I attempted to slam my car realizing that in the rear, since i dont have true coils i cant slam it since the spring doesn't allow for a huge drop. My question is, is there a way to buy just rear true coils? or would i be better off selling my coils for cheap and getting some ebay true coils?
As my 05 g35 just lost/tied a pretty severe confrontation with a 16 year old in a Jeep that misunderstood stop signs I've located a 2007 g35x that's nice as a replacement but needs a set of headlamps.(put new ones in the 05 last year). Do all of the 07's have xenon's as that's all it really needs. And does the X have any glaring quirks I should look for before jumping into it?
All 2007 G35 sedan come standard with HID Bi-xenon headlights.

Does aftermarket ecu cause engine light to turn on?
Hey sorry if it’s a dumb question but I’m new to the car scene and just picked up an ‘05 g35, everything is stock expect for the sound system wheels and ecu, which the prev owner said they paid about $2k for it, the thing is the engine light is on, the car is stock so I know it’s nothing emissions based as my dad who’s an extremely experienced mechanic inspected the car and saw no faults. Great condition, so now I’m wondering if the cause of the engine light is due to the aftermarket ecu. Any helps would be appreciated!
