V35 platform is the 2003-2007 coupe and 2003-2006 sedan.
V36 platform is the 2008+ coupe and 2007+ sedan.

The confusion happened because this sub-forum is for the V35 sedan which ended in 2006. Since you're asking coupe questions, yes the 2007 projectors will fit in the earlier coupes, plug-n-play just swap over your existing ballasts if they didn't come with any. You will need the newer style lamps for the newer projector headlights, all the lamp, primary, turn signal, parking, etc.

power loss??

so i just bought 06 g35 sedan and i can only get 8.5 ish 0-60 i don’t have good tires and not the best at shifting yet but i don’t know if that should cost my a whole 2.5 seconds, this might sound dumb but if someone knows how many seconds it takes to go 50km/h(30mp/h) to 100km/h(60mp/h) in second gear only, and if you could let me know so i could compare my time i feel like that would let me know if i might have power loss, if u have coupe that’s fine too i’ll just expect a little slower time. thanks

Is your car misfiring? Spinning the tires excessively? Any check engine codes? Bad rotten egg smell when you accelerate that would indicate clogged cats? Check the exhaust for any crushed sections or other visible damage.

thinking about it you might be onto something with damaged exhaust because car is pretty low and could have gotten banged up from previous owner, i will have a look tomorrow thanks for the help. but i do also think i am spinning way too much in first for a good 0-60 and i spin a little in second i think i have poor tires. and no codes

so the 60kmh-100kmh is 2.8 seconds for the coupe and assuming i have some power loss from over time and i have the sedan i got 3.2 seconds, i’m thinking that’s about right ish

Hi all I have a 04 G35x and today I’ve noticed the air bag light constantly blinking. There is an option to reset it by turning the key to on and off 4 x’s but it doesn’t work. I’ve tried it every couple hrs. Went into my homies shop but he was swamped with work. And he says usually it takes a couple hrs to diagnose. Anyone have a clue what could be causing it to blink? For 2 the car had a dead battery for approximately several months and I just let her sit. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can put the SRS system into diagnostic mode and it will flash a code telling you what the problem is.

Yes there is a reset/pedal dance to reset the system, check section SRS - Supplemental Restraint in the FSM.

Question Spec D

i have spec d headlights and the caps that come with it fell off so my ballasts are exposed, my standard lights still turn on but my headlights(high beams i guess) dont work, ive replaced the ballast before, and whenever it rains they stop working. If i get caps to cover the ballast will that prevent them from turning off or do i have to protect the wiring too?

I dont see how rain would affect the ballasts as they are still under the hood and shouldnt be getting any water on them.

i dont have wheel wells on so could the tires be splashing water onto them? Or do i just need to replace a fuse?
