Yes its a iron block motor it weighs a little more and im talking 100-200 lbs more(LS1/2/3 all lighter than a VQ), if i wanted i could hit 700+ on the stock heads block and all but then we are talking over kill on usable horsepower. And Syper has done a turbo kit on his LS2 350z makes 700+ on just 12 psi slight cam and tuned. And the motor actually sits lower than the VQ giving you a lower center center of gravity, which tends to help handling.

I don't think the aluminum LS motors are lighter than the VQ35s. I get about 100lbs heavier than the VQ35. The iron block LS motor is about 100lbs heavier than the aluminum version. Making the iron block version about 200lbs heavier than the VQ35. Not to bad especially going from V6 to V8 and aluminum to iron.

They make the M56 its pretty nice. Rod bolts finally came in now the motor should be done by the end of the week. On the way are the correct coilovers from DGR and fuel Correction kit from CJM should be here by wed.

I know, but it would rock if they made that engine an option for the Gs :P

A G with the M56's powerplant would be epic. VVEL, DI, V8 and Displacement? WIN

Just for reference, 427 cubic inches is 7 liters.

^Just for reference the 7L is closer to 428CI but GM wanted to call it a 427 for posterity

^I said that VVEL, DI, V8 and Displacement = win.

But yeah, a 7 L is plenty epic.
I was merely agreeing that if Infiniti built a G with the M56's drivetrain, it would be amazing.

Quote: Um. No.

An LS1/2/3 maaaaaybe. But this motor is an iron block.
the lq4 I built with a friend made 570hp and weighed a bit over 350lbs with aluminum heads. and ls1/2/3/6/7 would end up being less by about 30-40 pounds. not to mention that the weight in an ls/lq engine has a lower center of gravity than the overhead cam engine that come stock in the car. might be more forward weight in the car, but it's definitely lower
