Starting to worry...

So I have begun to notice my 04x is not driving like it is supposed to. Here is what im experiencing:

It accelerates just fine, then after letting my foot off the pedal, I feel a strong resistance and a very slight jolt. Then upon braking, it seems to stutter a bit. It seems a little too strong to be the ABS.

Could this mean something along the lines of my tranny?

Are you in Drive or Manual mode? How many miles? And have you ever done a Trans Fluid drain and fill or Flush?

Have you changed your brake pads lately? Sounds like a brake is getting stuck.

That I am not sure about. I bought the car with 127,000 miles and did not see that on the service records. The rotors do not look good, so I was planning on replacing those soon. Maybe Ill just replace all the brake components

Man im hoping thats what it is. I feel like if it were tranny, i'd have a code with the SES light.

I had tranny problems on one of my previous cars and it got worse and worse and also invlolved stuttering when pressing down on the gas.

^ The Tranny does some things when you lift of the throttle, Its different from Manual and Drive the actuation of these process might cause what you are saying.

You just changed your fluid so it should of helped if it was a Tranny thing did you notice a difference?

I do not know enough about The Trans to know if these processes might cause what you are saying but its a suggestion.

Check ALL suspension components, maybe compression rod ball joints changing the caster while moving

Not sure if Im just having a long day but I do not understand what you meant by the ^ bold.

As for the fluid, I just started noticing these symptoms about 2 months ago and my fluids were changed about 6-7 months ago I believe.

The main thing is when I let off the pedal it immediately feels strange. I would describe it like something is preventing the smooth process of the idle but then when I start to brake, there begins a slight stutter. Sorry if that doesnt make sense, it is really hard to describe but I can most certainly feel it.

^ When you lift the throttle the Trans either engine brakes(Manual) or keeps things smooth (Drive) there are different clutches involved for each.

So what I was saying that these processes might not be happening perfectly so you are feeling what you are. Try Doing it Manual mode and see what it does.

so far it hasn't gotten worse but i do experience the stutter you're speaking of and the restrictive moment when you release off the gas pedal and brake. feels like my car is choking?

in for answer this happens on my G as well. read a thread a while ago where this seems to be somewhat common.

Symptoms are when i step off the brake sometimes i do feel a holt, but normally a strong resistance.
