Hi All, first post here, been on maxima.org for years, own two maximas (hopefully one shortly if i can get it sold ) Anyway, I picked up an 06 G35x about a month or so. I've been doing some reading, trying to get caught up on maintenance on it for my own piece of mind and trying to get a few things back to stock on it (getting old I guess). Whoever had it had installed what looked to be a cheap RAM air kit and I was trying to get the stock air box back on and noticed that he had super-glued the MAF housing to the "cone" right where the bolts go. I was going to get a cheap MAF off ebay just for the housing and reuse my actual sensor. Anyone see this causing some sort of issue? I cant imagine it but lets hear it.

NB: Already searched, couldn't find anything.

 

As long as it is for the car then I see no problem but I'd look for a used maf I like oem parts lol, I'm sure someone has one laying around the garage either on this forum or my350

 

Thank you. I''d figured most people keep their MAF even when updating the intake so i didnt even bother checking the for sale forums. I'll check those two and see if anyone has anything...

 

No problem man on higher hp builds some people buy a diff maf, you can post a wtb (want to buy) thread as well and within a day or 2 you will have at least 1 pm or comment from someone

Do you sleep man? ha ha, thank you. I had actually PM'd someone else but he wasnt sure if he even had it, he had to check his storage. Let me check on this one..

 

Ha yea I sleep I'm deployed so I'm about 7 hrs ahead of the states so my sleep schedule is weird
