Key fob issues

So i have a 2005 g35x and the fob stoped working right. The buttons on the fob don't work at all but the keyless entry does sometimes. The door and trunk buttons work sometimes but none of the fob buttons do anything. Idk if I just need a new fob or if it can be another issue. When the keyless start does not work if I put key in and start the car the shut it off and pull the key out it will read the keyless fob. It's does this on both my fobs. I changed batterys in both as well. Any ideas where to start thanks.

These kinds of intermittent problems are the hardest to track down. It should either work or not, right? Irritating! Check to be sure there is no water getting into the passenger footwell area and onto the BCM which is mounted under the A-pillar. That can lead to a bundle of trouble. If everything is dry I'm not sure what's next. Be sure the fob batteries are fresh and haven't been sitting on a shelf for years. Have the fob's buttons ever worked? And you have exactly the same behavior on both fobs?
