I used the Aux in on my M45 a week ago for the first time. It sounded like *ss, I imagine the new G is similar so you best to stay with MP3 disks or get that HD full of them.

My 07 when compared to an 06 with similiar packages is about $1700 CDN more....so the price difference should be even less in the US. I guess my point is that a $35k G35 Sedan last year is not going to be $45k this year. Just my .02 cents.
That's very true Shane...I just feel like Infiniti is up to something...I don't get a good gut feeling...haha... I went through this whole guessing game w/ the RDX over the summer and that turned out sour (way overpriced). I guess it's different here since this isnt a new car, but a redesign, so there is an earlier price to base it off of. I guess I can get a good sense of the AWD model base price, but with the new option packages (vs. the single "package C" for 2006), I feel there will be a significant increase.

You might have had a ground loop problem. You can get a ground loop isolator for around $10 and see if it fixes you up.

I wasn't getting ground loop buzz, just poor audio quality. Flat and booring is how I'd describe it.

You have to replace the battery. The manual says," The Intelligent key port does not charge the Intelligent key battery."

Also a no to the CF rip Shane.

You mean you have to burn everything, then rip from the CD-R? Then that means the only purpose of the CF is for the nav software updates?

And does anyone know if you can rip off of any of the CD slots (i.e., including the trunk's 6-CD change)?

IIRC, you have to rip from audio CD format.
You can't transfer MP3 from ripped CD-Rs

So basically, the only way to get an MP3 onto the HD is to burn it to audio CD format on a CD and then rip it to the HD?

It doesn't say you CAN'T rip from the changer. The RECORD button needs to be on to rip.

******** CORRECTION: - "The optional in-trunk CD changer cannot record music to the Hard Disk."
