Question Opening the Trunk

How are you guys opening the trunk? I don't mean unlatching the trunk, but moreso how do you lift the trunk lid up? My 03 had the doggy door on it so it was easy to lift up. So far I have been using my shirt sleeve and pushing up gently on my spoiler (not wanting to get fingerprints anywhere). Also, my fingers are too big to fit in under the lid at the very bottom. Just curious how you other guys are lifting up the trunk lid.

No spoiler here so I make sure my fingers are not going to slip when opening the trunk. In other words, carefully.

I fit mine under the lid once I put the button and pop-it. I wish it flung open like on the MBs

Under the lid above the tail lights the opening seems to be a bit bigger, I've had good luck with it so far.

I also wish the trunk would pop open a bit more when you hit the button, it does not leave much room to get your fingers underneath to lift it up. I thought there was something wrong with mine since it did not pop open more when you hit the release but it souns like it is normal.

Guess I have skinny fingers, mine fit under the lip (no gloves required in Houston )

I lift from under the lid (between the bumper and trunk lid), and close using the handle. Only times I get fingerprints are when I'm like "whoops, that's not the opener button!" or when I don't get a chance to intervene before someone else tries opening the trunk!

Wayne, believe me, it's better it doesn't pop wide open, I know several occaisions where I came out and found it was popped, not obvious like if the lid popped open wider, that could be a problem in a parking lot! The spoiler is what I use on my '05 as well, nice handle!
