Paint Chip Repair Kit
Anyone try this yet? It sounds like a very good option for chip repair. http://drcolorchip.com/
You paint the chip, wipe smooth to remove the clump of paint making a bit of a concaved paint fill then once it drys in one minute you take a solvent provided and remove everything but the paint in the chip. Looks awesome. I don't have enough chips in my paint to buy yet, but this would be awesome for our crappy grills if they made a chrome paint. Check it out.

If the chip is clean with no wax, and the paint matches the process seems like it should work well. The wipe of the paint should level the paint. If the solvent removes the excess paint around the chip there is not reason this should not produce a "nearly" invisible repair. The reason most brush-on paint looks so visible is the paint does not quite match and the paint blob is actually much bigger than the chip. I think it will work very well. That's just a guess. I agree, please post pics if anyone buys.

Problem with "brush-on" paint also is that the mixed metallic pigments can often be out of proportion to the solvent, and if the paint chip is ANYTHING less than on a perfectly flat surface (i.e. on the vertical surface of the front bumper) it'll drip, but the metallic pigments will gravitate faster and well up at the inferior aspect of the chip... (as I'm sure a million of us have experienced)
airbrush obviously eliminates this, so it'll be interesting to see if this product even comes close to a decent result.

I have used on my Boxster with great results. I had about 20 chips, most you can't tell they were ever there some of the deeper ones you can tell if you rub hand accost the paint. My car is Silver it my be a little more forgiving then your though? I cant post pictures till the car comes out of storage in about a month. Sorry I do know there was allot of people on the Boxster sight who loved the product. You should be disappointed is you get some, fallow the directions and make sure its a warm day before you use it.
