08 350z springs/struts on 08 sedan? (I searched, cannot find the answer!)

I know somebody that has 2008 350z shocks/struts and springs laying around.

Is it possible to put these on my 08 sedan to see what kind of drop I get? It would be cheaper than buying new coilovers. So if it works, it would be a great money-saver for me.

Sorry if this is common knowledge. I searched the forums but could not find an answer.

Thanks to anyone that can help me out.

I'm guessing you've seen this springs thread although the shocks where not used. The rears are nor compatible between the 350 and the G either. Only front springs. The 350/370 rear springs are too short to use for the G. I put 370Z front springs on the fronts only.

I have, thanks, though. That thread is discussing the 370, though, right?

This guy that selling them to me is assuring me that his friend has the same setup (350z/G35sedan) I'm suspicious that nothing has ever been posted here on the same setup, though.

I'm 99.99% sure 350z springs were discussed in that thread

Correct. You can't use 350Z coil spring...just the 370Z coil springs fit and only the fronts.

Thank you. You guys just potentially saved me $400. That thread is a little confusing to me.

By the way, I see in your sig that's exactly what you've done. Is it .5 in the front and 1 inch in the back as noted in the referenced thread?

Other way around.
The 370Z springs installed on the front will result in a 7/8" drop on a G35X. The shaved rear spring mounts can lower you upto 3/4"...depending how much you cut off. Mine have 5/8" cut off, therefore the rear is that much lower than OEM.

This is a smaller/shorter thread that I started after I did mine.
