I've had the Stillen gen 3 for two months now and am in love with it and my car even more. The sound is amazing and I get compliments or silence when anyone sits in the car with me. I def feel gains with this intake on top end and low end. It is about $100 more then the one you posted (nismo) but it's all worth it. It was diffecult installing it though because of the customizing you need to do under the hood. The only thing that still worries me abou the stillen is hydrolocking, but I have yet to have any issues with that because of the splash guard. I've taken it to the wash a few times and have not noticed any water getting on the filters. Hope this helps!
I did all my research on intake before I made my decision and ended up with stillen gen 3 because of the splash guard and the most gains and sound.

Honestly I wouldn't even worry about hydrolock unless you're constantly driving in rain with big puddles of water. Just need to take precautions when you know it's going to be wet and you should be fine. I kind of regret not getting the Gen 3s now even though I love my r2c.
the last tech day at centexvq, I think everyone except 1 person who had done intakes all had stillen gen 3's. R3c seems nice but I don't know if they worked out the separation issues with the rubber parts or not.

You do have to be somewhat cautious with excessive wet spots but then again I live in Dallas, TX and we hardly see rain here. As a matter of fact a few months back for two days straight the weather was horrible and I was driving on the highway and was forced to slow down because two cars on the outsides lanes (left/right) splashed water for a few seconds straight into the front end and til now nothing has happened. Extreme cases only with Hydro-locking. Plus the dealers response to this issue was "rarely".

I live in Dallas as well and I have the Injen SP1997P intakes which rival the stillen G3 in power gains and sound. When the weather got bad I did hang out under an over pass for a bit lol but after taking a look at the splash guards and talking to some people, hydrolock isn't as big of an issue as I thought. Just don't drive through deep water and you should be fine.
Stillen.
