Scrape off with a brass brush and put a few layers of black High temp paint on them.
Thats what I did to my OEM rotors and it lasted great and looked 1000x better
My new drilled and slotted rotors are rusting where the pads don't touch too.
. Time to get that rattle can out.

Wow that caliper really is rusted for 3-4 year old car, it seems the car saw a lot of snow/road salt and was cleaned promptly, i havent seen any like those on the ones iv seen on here, i have a 05 FX which has seen fair share of snow and rinse the car after snow storms and they still look good with little to no rust.
On my G i painted the calipers a long time back and even though it started chipping away a couple years back they still look as good as new. On the other hand rusted rotors on a standing car after rain is normal and will come off as soon as you start driving

^ that explains it cause NY is very keen on using excessive road salt during winter, much more than needed and if not rinsed out quickly these are very common issues. Like RR said use a wire brush and try getting it off and the sand some and paint it. Also check the underbody of the car as well and if there is considerable amount then use some eastwood products to treat and protect for future and you should be alright!
haha yes it does, your almost limited to the car you buy. RWD is kind of out of the question, I had a is300 back in the day and it sucked. Not to mention driving in it is a pain in the butt. Shoveling is also a pain, anyways this wont affect my brakes in the future right... Kinda a newb question but ive never seen this on any of my cars its just weird

^ with winter tires RWD with a patient driver is just as good as any FWD with all season tires, i actually drove with OEM summer tires in snow (long story but i had too on my way back) and i made it alright with patient driving, ppl who have winter tires on RWD should have no worry driving in snow as long as you dont drive aggressively.
haha I know man if these crap out on me then I will until then im going to take it slow on the mods now... hotchkis sway, front lip, floormats, and xpipe all in 2 months is all I need
