Just to add my .02. I just programmed the dorman key fob....but not before doing it wrong numerous times and then the car not starting at all. The trick is, the paper instructions say to complete a step at 10 seconds, the online instructions say wait at least 10 seconds. Meaning you can proceed at 11,12, or 20 seconds finally got it after planning on calling a locksmith in the morning.

 

Just to clarify, your post is about programming the FOB which doesn't require anything other than a stopwatch. Programming the KEY requires either Consult-III, Nissan Datascan 3, or a handheld scanner made specifically for programming newer Nissan cars.
