Transmission Issues

Hi Everyone.

Im having an issue with my transmission. Its the 5 speed auto. Every time Im in 3rd gear, once the engine rpms go over 3k the transmission feels like its slipping. Its not a strong slip but its definitely noticeable only in 3rd gear. Anyone know anything about it?

How is your transmission fluid level?

I would drain/fill the transmission so you can get a really good look at the fluid and not just the microscopic amount that comes out of the dipstick. Just to verify you are checking the transmission fluid with a hot transmission right? So basically you go for a drive, come back, cycle through every gear, put the vehicle in park then while the engine is running you check the fluid right?

I'd take it to a local reputable transmission shop then. They can confirm the gear slip.
