Yh I gave up, unfortunately and returned the magnets today. My only option now is to get a used cover from eBay or new ones from the dealership. I used the 75 first and tried the 100 also. Just couldn’t feel anything click anywhere to even know they’re being unlocked.

Do you have a pull a part salvage yard or u-pull-it in your area? I know alot of people won't like the idea of salvage yard parts, but they are easy to test before removing if you know which 2 terminals you need. As long as they test between 9 and 11 ohms with a multimeter. Only problem is you would have to remove them again. Ebay might be a better option. Lol

Hell, you could have just taken the cover to a local shop and paid them $50 to remove the magnet. I guess you can still do that but you’ll have to buy the magnet again.

Yeah good point, but because the paper shims were messed up I thought what’s the point lol. Not sure there’s another method to get it out. I’ve found some ebay and seller said I can return if they don’t work so I’ll go with that option. I think frustration got the better of me and I returned the magnets lol because I thought the magnet part was going to be easy 😅

Where are you located? What are you going to do with the cover you cannot get the magnet out of?

I’m in NY, and I might just put it on eBay or something and make it clear the magnets on them don’t work.

If i lived closer I'd pick em up from you, replace the magnets, then sell em on ebay. Last time i looked they were selling for around $350 a piece without new magnets

Lol let’s see. If I the ones I ordered work fine, I think I’ll find a reasonable price for the ones I took from the car (I’ll update you on that later)
Thing is one of the covers I ordered has no solenoid (or something like that lol) so I’d have to transfer from the old cover.

There's a pretty decent write up I found on here once on cleaning and testing the solenoids. Probably wanna do that before installing. They're not too hard to get on and off after installing them, but aggravating to find out they're bad after

Update: car drives better now, picks up pretty fast. Codes haven’t returned for a while so I’ll keep driving and hopefully they never come back! Thanks to everyone here that helped!

Also I haven’t experienced the low-speed stalling problem (normally over the distance I’ve driven, it’d have happened at least twice)

Glad to hear your back on the road and even though you felt some pain. You still came out ahead by completing the repair yourself.

Good Luck!!
