designed a new plenum (lots of pics)

Welp guys for those of you that venture over to the 35z forums you might be familiar with this. I basically made a huge upper plenum. I fabbed it and a welder of mine welded it. I made the intake as tall in the front as it is tall in the back. Big mistake, basically the hood wouldnt shut. I decided to move forward with the project and mill both the upper and lower plenums down. After removing almost 1/2 inch of gap. I realized i needed to stop or the lower upper intake wouldnt clear the fuel rails. So now the hood shuts and it appears the intake may be rubbing a hair. But in the mill when port matching i realized the shorter i got with both the more the port were being thrown off. So I port matched them. All and all this has turned out to be a fun project. I plan on my next cover not being diamond plate since no one likes it. So please dont blo this up on how (redneck) the diamond plate looks. thanks more to come

I also changed to a stock non rev up lower intake. The length of the runners on a revup are even shorter than what Ive done.

do you have pics of the underneath of the upper plenum? is it a stock plenum that you "cut" off the top and replaced it with the diamond?

this **** is unbelievable. I put everything on and it was super strange sounding. Just a blip across the parking lot (with traction control on) and i was sliding all over the place. I drove the back streets home. Tonight its highway time and tune time. This car has a completly different feel now. But this is unbelievable I did this all on my own will post new dyno soon I hope thanks mike
