PS anyone?..
Why would a coupe need/want them? They already have bigger tips and larger exhaust piping.

I am sorry but where did you learn that the Coupes have larger exhaust piping stock for stock?...

The stock exhaust piping diameter is likely no different, but they're two completely different setups. I agree with redlude, why would any coupe owner want to take off their large stock tips and install these slip-on tips? I certainly wouldn't remove my FX's tips to install these Altima tips. Just pointless IMO.

Nice spray can paint job you got there. lol

Why are you so cheap? It is a Infiniti and you treat it like a Chevy.

Edit: Didn't see the other post till now, but still I would have taken it to a shop.

Into the tips the exhaust piping is larger. Just look at the difference. There is no way that little tube fitting would go over the coupe exhaust, you would have to cut out all the internals in the altima tips and just leave the outer portion, essentially making them like the OEM coupe tips.

All you need now is the rear nismo lip and your set.... maybe some wheels as well.

I thought you meant the piping as in the overall 2.5" exhaust diameter, but thanks for the clarification tho =)

The only thing is that I don't think this will fit for the people with NISMO rear since the NISMO rear provides less clearance between the valence and the tips...

You could always bend the exhaust hangers down slightly

Thanks again man =)

However, my muffler is indeed a 05/06 fitted onto a 03/04, which means that the hangers are custom fab using stainless steel... it would be quite a bit of work to take everything down and reheat the hangers to bend them down

Thanks again

If I remember from my Borla install, the hanger are attached to brackets that are bolted on. Instead of prying the rubber hangers off, I just unbolted them and dropped them down with the rest of the exhaust. I would assume you could put a spacer inbetween the bracket/body pretty easy. Might have to be drilled for the holes and longer bolts might be required but I remember having quite of bit to thread left.

I just looked at my nismo lip and there would be plenty of room to extend the tips. The lip is actually cut to provide for an exhaust although the stock tips come no where near close to sticking out the back.

man this mod is AWESOME. I am totally doing it. Thanks!!!

However, I can't decide. I am either going to get these tips and the midpipe OR a stillen gen 2 full catback. Money is tight and I want a new sound so I don't know whether to go ahead and spend about 100 for the midpipe and tips now or dish out 900 bucks for a new stillen catback later. What do you think. (sorry if I'm hijackin the thead. just thought I would throw it out there)
