THE megan racing v2 resonated test pipe thread....
Well I emailed Arjay at Megan Racing and he informed me that the issue with the materials inside the resonator getting loose is a waranteeable condition. That seemed to be the major thing about these test pipes. So with that said, it looks like I'll be making an order sometime soon.
I guess I'll just have to see about that rasp with personal experience.

It happened to me twice. It is warranteeable but it will possibly happen again. Best bet is to reweld the resonator back yourself or from a reputable shop. The welds that the resonators are done inside the t/p's themselves from Megan are ****.
Honest truth. I just don't want to see you guys buying them- driving- resonator breaks loose - reship out - rinse and repeat...
Here are some videos of my car with the Megan Test Pipes installed before I got rid of them (fast intentions resonated are on the way now)
The sound clip of these is pretty accurate, and they show a wide range of WOT, idle, light revs, etc. Check them all out- it should help you some.

@Tofu, thanks for your input man. I've actually already seen all of your videos, possibly a few times each to get a good idea hah.
A quick question. People tend to say the rasp comes in at around 3,000rpms give or take. Would there be a constant rasp at highway speed? At 80mph, my 5at is dead on at 3,000rpms. I would hate to have to deal with a prolonged constant metallic ringing in my ear, or is the rasp only under heavy acceleration?

I don't hear any rasp at highway speed with my setup (at least back then when I had the megan test pipes on).
I wouldn't say talking on the phone thought is feasible, I had some minor cabin drone and I'll tell ya- even with bluetooth in my ear I could hardly hear much at 3000rpm.
I didn't notice much rasp ever, but when I did it was only under harder acceleration.

I installed a MR Race pipe on my SE-R Spec V and it had a horrible Rasp. Right at 2800 RPM it sounded like there were coins bouncing around in there. I hated it. I replaced it with a no-name brand off Ebay and no rasp.
Just recently purchased Race pipes for the G from M2 performance off Ebay. Paid like $60 for them. Will let you know if there is any rasp.

Did you have rasp at constant hwy speed? What I want to know if rasp only comes under heavy load or not.
Also, I just looked up what you bought, the ones I see aren't resonated, so more than likley you're going to get some heavy rasp
The rasp only came on at 2800 and went away. I never put it on cruise at 2800 to see if it continued the noise.
Also, the noise seemed to be coming from the Resonated section of the pipe. We put the car on a left and you could hear the Rasp coming from that area. We also removed the MR pipe and when you shook it, you could here a rattle coming from the Resonated section.
So that is why I am trying a straight pipe (non-resonated)... If the rasp is bad, I will re-install the Cats.

I have megan resonated tp and got rasp from 3k-4k. My setup are as follow: megan resonated tp, JIC magic y-pipe, stock midpipe
, and the pricey but gorgeous looking gReddy Elite. (craftsmanship is 2nd to none)
What i have notice is that once I paired the MREV2 w/ my 5/16th plenum spacer the rasp is not as noticeable as it was before. You can barely hear it w/ the window's up and no music.
Does anyone know if a g37 muffler and midpipe would fit on a g35? I'm trying to see if i can swap out my exhaust/midpipe for the g37 exhaust/midpipe connecting at the jic y-pipe to see if i can eliminate this minimal rasp.

UPDATE! Just installed the test pipes (non-resonated) and I have a rasp only under hard acceleration. Normal driving conditions you don't hear anything even with windows down. I still don't like the rasp.
I just happened to put my test pipes on today also. Idk about the rasp that you get with the unresonated, but with these Megan RTP's V2, the rasp only comes under hard accel and to me isn't all too bad.
In the car it would sound like the sound your phone would make vibrating in your cupholder. I'm not sure how it is outside of the car, but I could deal with it. Also considering that I don't floor it in regular driving too often anyway. Sounds good when you're not pushing it, but a little more "farty" when coming from a stop. (I have an x02)
Def a noticeable bit louder once put under load, but not as loud as I thought it would be. I can't tell about the gains since it's raining right now, but the car does spin in first at 4.5k rpms a lot more "dramatic" than it used to. Overrall I'm very pleased, only thing left is to see how long it will last.
Edit: Drove around a bit more, the rasp is def a bit more noticeable than the first little bit I drove it. Honestly it isn't as bad as some VQ's I've heard and definitely liveable but I can see how others can see this as a bit embarassing.

I just installed Megan Resonated testpipes 2 days ago and i hear rasp when i floor it also the Check engine light came on after the second day is that supposed to happen even tho i have the version 2 of the testpipes?
Also how can i get rid of it adding non foulers or should i just deleted them using a computer?
And Also the gas smelll is kinda bad when the windows are down does this and the rasp goes away a lil after a few thousands miles or gets worse? Any input would be apreciated thanks.
