water kill engine?

hey everyone can water getting inside my cold air intake really have killed my engine. they past couple of days its been raining like crazy in my area (EL MONTE,CA) i was driving and i past threw a deep water puddle and the engine just shut off and i would not start, its been a 4 days and still wont start up, radio and light work but no engine. i need so feed back guys any help here if any one has any info please let me know thanx.

wat is hydrolocked, i am getting it fixed but before i take it in to my dealer im going to switch back the stock air box incase they try to give me some crap about voiding my warranty

how do heck do i fix that , can the cold air intake getting wet have caused that ?

i just did crap, so im screwed. so its basically the intakes fault for sucking up water

I highly doubt it'll be covered under warranty.

Take your intake off. put everything back to stock. call up whoever your warranty is and tell them you were driving in the rain and car just shut off.

But try to make the your engine bay as stock as possible and see how it will go

If you are VERY lucky (you won't be), you can pull all the spark plugs and give the motor a spin to remove all the water. If that frees up the motor, drain and refill the oil and put new plugs in. If it runs, consider yourself the luckiest man in the world.

Most likely, you have bent valves, rods, and busted piston rings.

Has anyone had this happened and put in a claim through their insurance for it??

I have heard of people doing this

+1 to what texasscout said
IF that was ever to happen don't try to turn over the motor
Remove spark plugs and turn over the motor until no more water comes out
Then do oil change and run car for like 150 miles or so and do another oil change.
