Don no it is not the same, long tube or equal length headers are far superior to shortie style headers. Headers are definatly good for the motor and will provide good gains, its just the install sucks on them, and most people are not going to tackle it themself so the install can be almost as much as the header.

Ah yeah, I see the difference...much better flow with the long tubes. Thanks for confirming the differences.
I think headers are worth it if you can get the install cost for a really good deal..also if you really want to fully build up performance, prob a good idea...after a tune, it'll make a difference...it's just whether you're willing to spend the several hundred, bout half a grand to install them, some may charge a tad less, some more, but from what I've heard it's a 4-5 hr job and pain in the neck.

i have a greddy evo 2 cat back and i was looking at Stillen headers and high flow cats from stillen i wanna purchase at the end of the month. Is it worth even doing?? i mean how does the exhaust sound quality change? still have that nice purr that g's do. or am i going to be driving a fart can factory?? also the guy said i need to reflash my ecu, and told me to purchase a cobb accessport 2 is it worth it?? im so lost haha
