Need Help On FUJITSUBO Exxhaust???

Hi guys,
I need a little help on choosing the type of exhaust for my G35 sedan. I wanted a fujitsubo exhaust, but the person told me that there are 2 types of exhaust for my car. One with a price of $630 and the other is $1050. The more expensive one is to be said included a front pipe. Therefore it's much more expensive. Is this true? Otherwise does anyone know where to get a much better deal fujitsubo exhaust?

Thanx in advance guys.

The Fuji Legalis-R for the sedan is $640. It includes the midpipe and muffler. The Y pipe is an additional $450.

I think pretty much where ever you go you are going to pay around $1050 for the full exhaust, or $640 for the midpipe back, and $450 for the y-pipe. I got my fujitsubo exhaust from nick at streetryde performance in sacramento (916)478-2894. Give him a call to see if he can get you a better deal...

I personally thank you guys for the help and info for the exhaust. I think I'll just buy the midpipe and muffler. Do you guys think it would be better to buy the y-pipe too? Will the sound be nicer?

Thank you.

Re: Need Help On FUJITSUBO Exxhaust???

Speaking from my experience with the coupe, the Y-pipe made the sound deeper, but not much louder and added a bit of performance. After I added the rest of the exhaust I was very happy with the sound and performance. I'd say that one compliments the other, but If I had to choose only one I'd go with the midpipe and muffler first.

The Fuji isn't a very loud exhaust, but the tone is excellent.

how many types of fujitsubu exhausts are there for the g35 coupe? and if more than 1, which is the best one...

and does the Y pipe make much of a difference? whats the y-pipe for? sound or increased perfomance?

and lastly, how does the fujitsubu exhaust compare to the pro-1 in terms of loudness and sound? I don't really like how the pro-1 looks like... are both single system or dual?

there are 2 Fujitsubo exhausts for the coupe... Legalis R and Touring (IIRC). most people get the Legalis R.

there are 2 parts, the "exhaust" which is a midpipe and muffler with 4" tips, is around $875. then the Y-pipe is an additional $450ish. the Y-pipe of the stock exhaust is a bottleneck, so replacing the Y-pipe is advisable. both parts of the system use 76mm piping (3")

the Pro1 exhaust is going to be MUCH louder than a Fujitsubo. the Fuji is very stock-like, but slightly more aggressive and deep. Pro1 is one of the loudest exhausts made for this car, and will get you in trouble with the po-po probably.

in my particular instance, i have Topspeed/Pro1 headers, Crawford Cats, and a Fujitsubo Y-pipe. my setup is already pretty loud (at WOT only, at idle mine sounds dead stock), and the rest of the exhaust is still stock. i will be completing my setup with the Fujitsubo LegalisR within the next 3 weeks or so.

the Fuji alone, without other work like headers or high flow cats, won't be loud really, but is one of the few that retains the tone of the stock exhaust and just amplifies it slightly. so, if you wanna scare small animals or old people, Pro1 would be the way to go.

finally, the Fujitsubo exhaust (with Y-pipe) is one of the few exhausts for the 350z/G35 platform that doesn't cost you hp/tq in the lower rpm range. it's also worth noting that Fujitsubo manufactures exhausts for NISMO, as well as most of the other factory sport brands (MazdaSpeed, TRD, etc)

oh, and the Fuji is a single system... Y-pipe merges the two cats into a single midpipe to the muffler, then 2 exhaust tips. it's basically identical to the NISMO system

not sure about the Pro1
