Injen Cold Air Intake......

Ok...so I was in a ATV performance shop today and the guy told me there who if best friends with the guy with the fastest Z in the world, its on the commercials, his dad owns a Nissan Dealership, anyways, and he tells me that this guy uses the Injen Cold Air Intake, he said its GREAT. He also said its the best one out there. I asked how much horsepower gain it has and he said about 24 HP. Anyone know anything about horsepower gain on a AT G coupe? Also, the best price I was able to find was $260 shipped. Anyone know where that price can be beat? Let me know. Thanks.

that guy should be shot. No CAI system will give you more then 5hp. Injen cold air intake is good, creates a great noise and maybe 2-3hp. Looks great also. SEARCH IT

I wish it did get 24HP to the wheel, that would be awesome. But sadly it isn't, intakes for our car don't do much for power increase, its mostly there for looks and sound.

Ay... I have the injen intake and it shaved off half a second... At the track before I installed the intake I was running about 14.5 consistantly, and after I installed the intake I was running 14.0... So it added enough HP to cut my time down...I think because of the ram air it got... But there are some negatives about the Injen intake.... When you cut the styrofoam to make room for the filter it allows the filter to be vulnerable to water.... Water is BAD... So I bought the Hydroshield to help water repel the filter...Second problem was at high speeds the car would turn off when put into neutral...At high speeds the air in the intake tube would be sucked out because of the Venturi Effect...(If you don't know what that is then do your HW...) But anyways, I found a breathable foam block about half an inch lick to fit in bottom grill. This slowed the air down and also deflected some of the water which helped out during the rainy season. But I lost the ram air effect which gave me the extra HP.... It's all personal preference... I LIKE THE INJEN INTAKE, but I've heard the JWT pop charger adds almost the same HP and you don't have to worry about your fliter sucking water into the motor.... But with Injen you get the ram air effect when the filter is free of everything (hyrdoshield and foam cover) which JWT doesn't get....LAter

does an injen cai come with a bypass valve for those "rainy" seasons???

I am extremelly happy happy with mine but 24HP is BS. I can feel some difference though and it did allot for the sound too.
