Ahh what a sweet forum..thanks pythonjosh, that was a quick response. If I hear anything I'll post up, but I'll probably be patiently unlocking the door with my key until then buddy.

thanks for the info and diy guys. i really appreciate it! my passenger side actuator crapped out last week - i didn't know what wrong with it until i searched and realized that our early coupes have problems with the actuators. I'll be ordering the $5 fix tomorrow and report back to you guys.

Thank you to the original poster for the pointer in the right direction, you rock :-)

Just did this on one of my customers' G35 coupe. Same symptoms as described. Worked like a charm. Took some time to align everything but once all aligned everything went smoothly.

I am an independent mechanic in CT area. If anybody wants me to do this mod on their cars let me know via email

aplusqualityautorepair@gmail.com

I can come to you or you can drop off your car in my location, whatever works,

Nick.

I really need more positive feedback to convince me to install it.
Anyone please share your experience.
Some bad feedback really scared me...

Positive :spend a few bucks to fix the problem.

Buy the piggyback clips for the wires so you don't have to splice or soder

Great fix

I just got done installing this. Works great, it even sounds strong. Definately need a dremel for this job. One mistake I made was not lining up rod correct at first, make sure rod goes through bouth holes straight. All in all not to hard and definately worth the money in savings. Highly reccomend!

are the wires in the doors for the '05 the same as the earlier years? My passenger side went out on me months ago, but I'm just now going to get around to fixing this crap. Anyone's fix still running strong after 6+ months?

Go thru the steps, if anything is wrong, take pics and post em here.
The greatest part is that these actuators are universal.
