Yep same thing. The quantity dropdown goes up to 30 too.
Same kit tho, you'll still need to make your own bracket, and cut a couple wires (or PM me).

I purchased everything needed for this fix except the wires. I read that 14 gauge is the way to go. I went to home depot and was overwhelmed with the selection they have on wires. I asked the guy at homedepot and he had no clue and couldn't recommend which wire to get. Where can I purchase the correct 14 gauge wire for this fix and how do I ask for it specifically so that they know what I'm asking for?

You want to go to an electronics shop. Home depot has 'mostly' solid core wire. Not what you want here. There is nothing bad with using 16awg either. That's what I've used with all if mine. Because it only has current for a split second, and its not amplified, there'll never be an issue.

I would separate them at least. Seen too many bad cases of speaker wire melting and causing fires.

Did you get the answer as to where the bracket with the 3 screws comes from or you have to build your own?

I take it Josh isn't selling these kits anymore?

My driver side door lock just went.

If you can make the bracket, cut the actuator rod, and prepare the wires, you're capable of doing everything yourself.
Otherwise, yes I'm still making kits. I am currently out of town and will be able to make more on thursday.

Another question:

If I wanted to just buy OEM, is it simply a matter of replacing the black housing unit with a new one?

Is there a reputable place to buy the OEM part, even though it costs $200 and what the part # is?

I may have to get OEM just in case I may depart with my car in the near future, but maybe not.

Update: I found this part: #80553AL500 or DLA239 at Rock Auto but it's a white plastic piece called a door actuator..$75.38. Any instructions on how to replace this part?

My brother just helped me take care of my passenger side door lock using this DIY. Much thanks for all of the info, it really helped.

And.. a side note. We tested the lock once installed, and it works, but now from outside of the car, you have to pull the handle twice to open the door. It does unlock it though, it's just kind of weird. But we didn't feel like going back in to look again. Anyway, any idea why that may be happening?
