You know, I just ran a couple of wires to a fuse right off of the battery posts. Then through the rubber gromet, through the firewall to a switch under my steering wheel area. The actual lights are just LED strips. So with the switch, I can actually run them whenever I want. I like them so much I usually leave them on when I am driving at night.

I have a sedan too. You can use the side foot plastic cover to hide the wires.

where did you mount the ccfl tube in your sedan for the rear seats? I was thinking under the 2 front seats towards the back. What is the side foot plastic cover?

like you know the trim along the side of the car when you open the door? where the INFINITI is? there is a plastic one that runs from the front all the way to the back. You can pull that off and put the wire under there.

if you tap it into the dome light circuit, you dont need anything, no switches, no resistors. everything is 12v. The lights will just come on whenever your dome lights come on.

if you tap it into the cigarette lighter switch, you need to have a switch unless you want it on all the time even when you're driving.

yes that is normal. you tapped it into the circuit for the part where dome lights come on by itself. The dome light switch is on another circuit.

Your floor lights will only come on when you unlock the car, or open a door.

ohh okay so my question is this then. Is there a way I can have it like that AND add a switch so they go on when I want not ONLY when I open a door?

So i can have both. Lights go on when door opens or unlocks. And a Switch so I can turn them on while driving if i want.

Can you use thin copper wire to extend the ccfl tubes wires?

Scratch that it didnt work. it only lit up half the ccfl tube. I assume you all extended the wires on your lights as well cause they come pretty short.
