Sprint's offering up a new Unlimited "grenade" plan as they call it, that offers unlimited everything for $120/month. Unlimited voice, data, email, texting, etc.

Caveat: it's limited to San Francisco, Philadelphia, Tampa and Minneapolis-St. Paul.

You're absolutely correct - as the links/articles say, the trial started in SF only, and apparently has now expanded to the other 3 cities.

I have no idea - I'd give Sprint a call to find out.

Yes, it's a crazy plan if it does not include International long distance calls!!

 

It actually used to be $99/month

 

On a 3 person family plan with Verizon we pay just about that - for 3 people. The only thing we don't have is unlimited data, but for $20/month we could get that, too.

that's the thing - it includes unlimited everything, data included. when you compare it to apple's iphone plans, it begins to make sense as being more "reasonably" priced, but i agree: it is absolutely ridonculously expensive nonetheless.
