I'm thinking of using my Manufacturing System Engineering laboratory for engine bay part polishing. Hopefully I can get clearance from my professor.

I forgot to ask him, but I will call him tonight to get the answer. I want to say the place was in Alabama.

can someone walk me through the installation of the pi-thon hose locks...the radiator locks and 2 smaller ones near those...do they simply slide over the hoses and tighten down with the wrenches, or is more complicated such as draining fluids etc?

You need to drain the fluid at least below the lowest level of that hose. You can do this by using a hand-pump / siphon through the radiator cap.

that's what i thought, but wasn't sure...any idea about how much fluid will need to be removed to get it past that point? approximately a pint, quart, etc?

A little over a pint should do it. Just pull about that much out then unclamp the side of the hose that connects to the radiator (the higher side). Once you slide that side off, you can hold it up and see how much more you need to drain out before you can pull the other side off.

sean can't seem to find a siphon, do you think a turkey baster would work to drain some of the fluid from the radiator
