My Heart Hurts.
WOW!! I say the pics of the burned car and my heart sank! I'm really sorry about what happened Sam, and like it was said before "this is one on life’s tests - how you handle it is part of growing and learning" I really hope the insurance company can help out.

just keep telling yourself that she doesn't know what shes talking about.
and be prepared to reject their first (or in my case, the first three) offers they make you.
dammmm girl i feel bad for you.......... whos your insurance? was there full coverage on the car? On my wrx, when it was totaled I sent them all my receipt for all my aftermarket stuff. They didnt even ask any questions, they wrote me a check for the car and an extra 10k.

There are some specialty insurance companies that will injury up to your own declared value… I have a friend with a mint all original 56 shoebox Chevy. There is no “blue book” or “fair value” – he has it insured for his own set amount. Of course the higher you want it insured, the higher the premiums… I guess my point is all auto insurance isn’t the standard daily driver full coverage type that we are mostly accustomed to.

Sorry for your loss, It is really heart braking
One thing comes to mind here that no body has brought up yet , is not to use your insurance company at all, in a mater of fact leave you insurance company as last resort. There is a reason why the car caught on fire. you need to find that out first , even if this end up costing money out of pocket .
if the fire was caused by the modification of the car like the turbo kit or the headlight wiring .then the insurance company of the shop that did the work will step in and take care of the damage .you wont even have to get you insurance company involve .Garage keeper insurance will cover all you lose 100 % ,so if your shop had a million dollars policy .they will cover the damage to your car up to that amount .i would immediately involve the company that worked on you car .
good luck

Only the body work and tune was out sourced. The body work was done by Creative Autobody and the tune was obviously done by Relentless Autosports about 5 weeks before this happened, (if that is what you are insinuating
) everything was running perfect.. especially after getting the tune.. my car felt amazing. The problem is on the 21st - 2 days before Hais bbq I installed the 06 projector headlights and a new set of clear corners. Everything seemed fine until I did the headlight swap and changed the clear corners and my liscense plate light. Right after that the tail lights, liscense plate lite, and corner lights no longer worked. We checked every fuse with a test light and they were ALL working fine. We were unable to find out what the electrical problem was.As you can tell in the pictures the fire orginated from the very front of the car, almost exactly where the headlights are (not the usual areas)..

Samantha, sorry to hear about your car. Scott told me about it last Thursday at our meet. Most importantly, you're ok! Let me know if there's anything I can do

When I installed my '06 projectors, I noticed that the passenger side wiring harness was almost too short to reach the connector on the light housing. I ended up cutting the OEM wire tie and relocating the wiring harness to get it to reach without stretching it.
I wonder if your harness could have pulled tight and rubbed through the wiring's insulation?
On television, there is always some expert that comes in and analyzes everything to determine where/how a fire starts. I wonder how you find one of those guys in real life? Would be nice to see where it really started.
