Borla True-Dual (Sedan)

Quick review?
It rocks.

I installed it at the same time as my Z/Pop combo, so I can't comment on power gains as there were too many variables. Sufficed to say, the car definitely has a little more punchy get-up-and-go, especially higher in the power band.

And the sound? Oooh, baby. The sound is a beautiful, low drone. Not overly "ricey", and no "buzz". At highway speeds around 2500rpm, there's a light drone, but you get used to it VERY quickly. Punching it hard gives it a ripping, gnashing meanness that still manages to sound powerfully classy.

Looks: Two chrome tips sticking out from under the bumber with BORLA in raised lettering. So far I've not experienced any problems with residue building up on the bottom of the pipes from the exhaust (as my stock muffler often had).

Not an incredibly in-depth and imperical review, but it'll do until someone comes along with a dyno. I would definitely recommend this.

Oh yeah. I got a deal for five hundred bucks, but they sell more around the 750 area.

Re: Borla True-Dual (Sedan)

would you happen to have a sound clip, or possibly make one? I am interested in hearing how it is on the sedans.

thanks

Re: Borla True-Dual (Sedan)

I had a Custom CAT back dual exhaust put in. I had installed twister mufflers and I can tell you it is loud!! and you will not go unnoticed with any kind of dual exhaust. The HP gain was awesome!! I now get the VDC button on going hard into 2nd gear for several seconds!! I talked to the dealer and it doesn't void the warrantee however it is hard on the rear tires!!LOL

I'm too lazy to make a video but you'll find some on youtube on a 1st gen sedan.

^ lol I didn't even look at the date. Whenever I do searches for mods I end up opening 15+ tabs in a single window to make jumping from thread to thread easier lol. Forget to pay attention to the date on some of these posts sometimes cause I get caught up in all the reading.
