Quote: i just dynoed my 05 300hp engine whit test pipe,y pipe, and aam spacer
best pull 248whp whit a 226 max torque sae corrected and lowest 240whp
does number kind suck i was looking for 260whp+ so im like at 293 crank engine hp
can i say the 300hp oem engine is well overated that all bull**** marketing
a/f was very rich 11.5 in topend
the dyno brand is dynojet 248
What were the pre dyno numbers? There's not alot of information out about the '05 and HP vs Mod. What worked on the '03's and '04's may not do anything for the '05's, you may have even lost some. Without pre numbers you just don't know. If I remember correctly when the parts first started coming out for the older Z and G35 they lost power, but after further development it started to increase. I have an '05 and I'm waiting for some new mods that will be R&D'ed for the '05. It sucks to have to wait, but we did start out with a higher HP motor to begain with.

The Powers there, we just have to find it.

Its very safe to say that (Tony's spacer) and the Crawford plenum make HP on all cars.
The only thing that has not been really proven is the 2005 6mt with its new lower plenum.
Some of the dynos on the 2005 6mt showed very slight gains in the top end. What's misleading is I keep seeing commercials that state the new g35 has 298 hp? I not sure but only the zee and the 6mt had the bigger numbers. There are a few Guys here like Sickone and Daveb that know what they are talking about. There are a few others but I just do not know them. Dyno's You just can not ever get a real honest pull because of so many other things that can change. Its all good.

Like I said, I'm waiting for a company to R&D parts for the '05 6mt. I'm not buying something that showed a "very slight gain". The cars alot of fun right now, and sometimes too much fun.

they should be the same as always, seeming they have the same 280hp as previous years.

I was unable to get in on the last group buy for a Mortordyne spacer. Is there an 05MT owner out there who would be interested in selling their 3/8" spacer to be installed on my 05AT? PM me if you are out there.

What were your Pre/Post dyno conditions?

It could indeed be real but I would be reluctant to conclude results up/down on the 05MT lower plenum without first getting a solid test set up. There are many affecting variables to control and hold constant. It would be best to install (or remove) the spacer while the car is still on the dyno and then do another set of pulls. That would give a solid conclusion.

I'll try to get this done soon and preferably at a dyno day.

Anybody in the SoCal area itching for a dyno day?

Hi,
05 AT's have the origial motor (unlike the 05 6mt w/ 298hp), so the spacer has show good results on the NON 298hp motor.

Best to keep the two 4mm guide pins in, but loosened so that they can be removed after the plenum top is lowered. They should then be replaced with the hex head bolts...
