I think he meant winter tires. I've never heard of winter wheels.... Doesn't mean they don't exist though !

I suspect your wheel bearings are fine. How much work is involved in changing them ? I don't know if they're the press-on type or simply bolt on. If it's easy, I'd put the old ones back on and save the new ones until you really need them. They are wear items so they'll need replaced eventually but why not get the most life out of them that you can ?

As in put another 5x114.3 wheel on there and drive on new tires. Some of us have winter wheel and tires set ups for winter driving.

The front is not bad... I could do each side in about an hour. The bearing and hub are sold together as a unit so all u really have to do is undo the bolts and swap it out with the new one. I think theres a company that also sells the rear hub and bearing as a single unit but I wanna go with Timken's as theyve already been proven. Unfortunately, Timken only sells the rear bearing by itself so I'm gonna have to remove the hub and take it in to a mechanic to press it out and press the new one in. Should still be pretty cheap though.

My car has 112K miles on it right now so the bearings could use a refresh. These new ones will probably last me longer than I'll be owning the car...so its worth it to me.

If anyone in the LA area wants my old bearings, they can come pick em up for free.

I'll save you time, it's not. They're 5X100 and you're 5X114.3.

I wanna keep the emblem. It looks too plain without it, if u ask me. Plus it looks like the car has a cute little nose.
