Okay so basically...the button will be there when I order the a/c adapter along with the double din finisher but it's not functional...correct?

The speed sensor is at the OEM HU already, just tap in.
I didn't bother with the reverse, not really req'd.
It only provides position correction while in reverse...no biggy

Hopefully you didn't use every wire on the Pioneer wire harness. Find the wire you didn't use, and just pull it out of the harness.
I used the auto mute lead wire. After you pull it out, you will see that the wire has a connector on the end like this...

There is 1 empty slot on the harness next to the ground wire.
Insert this wire into that slot. You should feel it "click" into place...
Ground this wire and the E-brake wire and you're good to go!!

FWIW, for those that installed the AVIC with a new amp;
I installed a "Matrix" 6 channel line driver from Audio Control,
it boosts the 2v outputs to what ever your amp(s) can handle.
It made an incredible difference in the system!
