I read through the entire 18 pages and didn't find my answer. I have bought the PAC-SWI-ECL for my eclipse navigation (AVN 5510) so I can run the steering wheel controls and I don't have a harness that has a Black wire in the 20 pin and a Violet wire in the 19 pin. I would assume it is because of the Bose stereo in my 05. Is there anyone that can help me or has run into the same problem? Thanks in advance.

Jake

Hey, BlackOnBlackG35. Nice setup. Say I have an Automatic 06 G35 Sedan w/o OEM Navigation and I want to install the AVIC-D3 into my dash like your unit. I have the double dash kit just like yours and the a/c unit. But, do I need the double din bracket? I rememeber reading somewhere that some models do not require the bracket because it may already come with it. Is this true or should I go ahead and buy the bracket made for G35's without OEM Navigation?

Also, how did you even remove the OEM dash? Do you have any pictures of the removal process? What tools did you use?

You don't need to buy a new bracket, just re-use the factory one (i did).

Wiring Guide

Black you setup looks ridiculous, but I had a question on the wiring. How did you get a wiring diagram to know where everything gets wired in (VSS, Power, etc.)? If you have something that you could send me that would be great or let me know where I could get it.

I wanna' install an AVIC-D3 into my G35. I asked around for installation prices and what I would need to buy. One item I was told I should try and get my hands on was an amp bypass.

My question is, if I don't have the factory Bose stereo system do I still need to buy an amp bypass? I heard that the AVIC-D3's got a small amp in it and that the AVIC-D3 would still sound even better than standard the factory radio.

Double Screens??

Does anyone have any pictures of a double screen install? I want to upgrade my stereo. I want to add a screen into the old stereo but keep the factory screen. I want the lower screen to run everything but the NAv to come up on the factory screen. I also will be running the ipod setup with the SAT radio. I also want to intergrate my phone for wireless control.

I was thinking about either the pioneer or the eclipse . Please let me know which one you think is better.

Pictures Please!!DOMO

18 pages can confuse people.

I'm planning on installing an AVIC-D3 into my 2006 G35 Sedan (w/o Bose) very soon and I have a few questions before I install it.

Here's a list of the parts I have.
[ x ] D-Din finisher
[ x ] A/C Control
[ x ] AVIC-D3
[ x ] ND-BC2 Rear-View Camera
[ x ] Nissan/Infiniti Receiver Wire Harness
(Is this the right wire harness?)
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-d2fFhdi...00&I=120707550
[ x ] PAC-SWI PS Steering Wheel Integration

I've read all 18 pages and some posts confused me.
Am I missing some parts?
Do I need to purchase a Scosche FAI-3A?
Or a Nissan Antenna Adapter?
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-d2fFhdi...00&I=12040NI20

And finally, do I need too buy a trim piece like BlackonBlackg35's?

If so, which one did he use and is this trim piece easy to find?

Please, somebody help me out. I really want to install this soon but I want to make sure I've got everything I need to install it correctly.

You will need to purchase the antenna adapter but no need for the Scosche FAI-3A, i didn't need one when i installed the Z1 on 05 w/o Bose.
Tha trim piece on the pic should come with Avic at least it did when i got my Avic-Z1.

Good luck.
