OCT-1 ... Open Track event (Buttonwillow)
Re: OCT-1 ... Open Track event (Buttonwillow)
Sorry, I won't be able to make it. As soon as my wife heard I wasn't going, she gave me a HONEY DO list. I might also spend the day (what part I have left) searching for gauges.
Have fun!

Other than Randy, is there anyone else interested in meeting Saturday morning at Denny's??? Since Randy is no longer going to be able to make it to the track, I would much rather get breakfast at home and head straight to the track.

Randy:
You did the right thing on holding off track day. You need to get used to the device and it really needs 500 miles or so of break in. Take your time and be cautious and you will never regret it when it comes to these things.
By the way lads and ladies, I bought my seats and then had Gabe down at Sparco do the incredibly humane thing of showing how to install it all, and get down there and put in the Milanos, while basically I got to hold onto things as a handy brace (my highest and best use under the circumstances!). The Milanos are in, they look great, they drop you about two inches when mounted flat on the floor, which for me was excellent since my head bangs the roof when I wear a helmet and otherwise have to rake the seat back too far. So this is going to be a test for their utility in performance driving. I can tell already that they are much better support laterally and lumbar. Can't wait to check it out on the track.

Ed,
How about the comfort compared to the stock seat. Those damn seat controls are so annoying. Oh yeah that's right the coupe seats don't have any controls on the side like the sedan do they?

Oh that's very cool. I would trust Shawn's work. But do you have the R4 software for the Split-Second box? I know he doesn't and unless you guys can get a hold of a copy ... you won't be able to tune the SS box.

Mike,
The coupe seats have the same fugly control by the right lap. The lateral support is leagues ahead of our sedan seats, however. The Milanos will be yet another 20,000 leagues beyond the coupe seats in lateral support.
Hey Ed ... wanna sell your coupe seat on the cheap? :P

Terry,
Are you planning on getting breakfast too or just to meet up? The particular Denny's notorious of taking 45min. before serving an order, so don't forget to factor that in.
If anything ... call me at cell (I just PM'd you).
